Resources for Families
Through strong community partnerships with organizations including the Western New York Independent Collaborative Care (WNYICC), Western New York Minority Media, C. Canfield Consulting, VOICE Buffalo, Camp BU, and Brown Kids with Disabilities. These relationships create opportunities for annual family-centered events, collaborative programming, referrals, and access to resources that families need to thrive.
What the Program Provides: Referrals to partner organizations and access to community resources, including food assistance, early childhood resources, parenting resources, child and family support, and other community services.
Who It Serves: Children and families throughout Buffalo and Western New York.
How the Program Works: Families contact the center by email, inquiry form, or phone and describe their initial needs. Based on those needs, we make appropriate immediate referrals to partner organizations and may coordinate a time for a 1115 waiver screener to visit and screen for additional services.
Eligibility: Our general referrals and resources are open to any family in need. Families requesting a 1115 waiver screening must be enrolled in Medicaid, Medicare, or SNAP benefits.
What Families Can Expect: A warm, non-judgmental environment and a team that listens first and connects you to the right resource.
How to Participate & Request Assistance: Contact us by email or phone to describe what your family needs, and we’ll help identify the right referral or resource.
Frequently Asked Questions: Have a question about our Family Resources program that isn’t answered here? Reach out; we’re happy to help.
How to Contact Us: Reach Agnes Youth & Family Center through the inquiry form on our Contact page, by email, or by phone at 716-253-1463.
Volunteering Opportunities
As we serve the community, there will be opportunities for volunteers to assist with bagging food each week for distribution, such as stocking the food and bagging food for distribution; our clothes closet will be in need of stocking the clothing racks with proper sizing, sorting donated clothing, and preparing them for distribution.
